How we handle your data

TL;DR
- The site uses Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and Mailchimp. Decline analytics or ads cookies via the consent banner or the in the footer.
- If you sign up for the mailing list, your email goes to Mailchimp. Unsubscribe any time from the email footer.
- If you submit the booking form, the inquiry comes to me via Netlify Forms.
- Embedded Bandsintown shows, SoundCloud players, and the Printify storefront are third parties with their own policies.
- Email questions to privacy [at] toefoodmusic.com.
Cookies and analytics
The site loads Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel in denied state by default. Nothing is tracked until you accept categories via the cookie consent banner. The categories:
- Necessary: required for the site to work (the cookie consent state itself).
- Analytics: enables GA4 and Meta Pixel page views so I can see what music or pages people care about.
- Marketing: lets ads I run on Meta or Google find people likely to like Toefood.
Change your preferences any time using the in the footer of every page.
Mailing list (Mailchimp)
When you sign up via the mailing list form, your email address goes to Mailchimp where I host the audience. Mailchimp also records the IP and timestamp of the signup for spam prevention.
I send show announcements, new releases, and the occasional weird mp3. No data is sold or shared. Every email has an unsubscribe link in the footer that removes you from the list instantly.

Booking inquiries
The booking form posts to Netlify Forms. Submissions land in the Netlify dashboard and forward to my inbox. I use them only to respond to you about the show. No data is sold or shared.

Embedded third parties
A few areas of the site embed content from external services. Loading those embeds may set their own cookies regardless of the consent state on toefood.music, since they are separate domains:
- Bandsintown (homepage and EPK shows widget): bandsintown.com/privacy
- SoundCloud (audio players on the EPK): soundcloud.com/pages/privacy
- Printify (merch storefront, linked out from the merch grid): printify.com/legal/privacy
Your rights and how to opt out
- Decline cookies: the consent banner on first visit, or the in the footer. The Marketing category toggle is also the "do not sell or share" opt-out for California users under CCPA.
- Unsubscribe from email: the unsubscribe link in any email I send.
- Delete your data: email me with the address or info you want removed.
- Access or correct your data: email me. I'll send you what I have or fix what's wrong.
GDPR and CCPA grant these rights formally, but the answer is the same either way: email me.
